Yummies: We have fluttery hungry hearts for Peanut Butter!

Dear Peanut Butter Inventor,
Oh...the Aztec Native Americans invented it? OK...awesome....

Dear Aztec tribe,
Thank you!!!!!!!!
Thank you for your gooing, sticky, healthy, filling and muy delicioso peanut butter paste!

We heart it sooooo very very much. We can't think of a another food we heart as much as our go to snack, treat, craving satisfier, tummy filler than good ol' fashioned peanut butter.
P.S. Before we go on...can we take a moment to express our feelings about that processed store stuff? Yes, we super know it tastes soooo sweet and creamy but did you know it's hardly real peanut butter?

It's filled with sugar and hydrogenated oils! So give your body a break and try the au natural stuff you mix yourself when you crack the lid...it's really good!

OK...with out further chit chat...we give you our fave ways to devour the yummy stuff.

Really? Chocolate filled Peanut Butter cookies? Seriously? No....for reals?

Yup!
And here is how to make it!!! Can't wait!

Last month for a certain lucky girls birthday she got a delivery from one of her lovers JN of the most unbelievable PB frosted chocolate cupcakes!!!!

The entire box was gone in 1 day!
So we had no choice...we were forced to learn how to make these decadent treats!!!
Here is a link to the ridiculously delish frosting....
And one for the Magnolia Bakery, cakey part...2 parts so it's doubly decadent!

On a trip to the PB restaurant in NYC (see told you we heart the stuff)

we came across our dream sandwich. The Elvis.

Supposedly Elvis hearted PB and banana grilled sandwiches soooo much he ate them everyday!

And now we can too! They are amazeballs!!!!

Need a great tasting milkshake filled with protien and yummy stuff but are just saying NO to dairy? No problem!

Try this PB ice cream shake. Sounds sooooooooooooooo good!!!!!

Melted Peanut Butter Cup 'n Banana Shake
vegan, serves two

1 1/4 cups Bliss Coconut Milk chocolate 'ice cream'
*You can also use another brand of rice, soy, hemp or coconut ice cream. But Bliss is amazingly rich because it is made with coconut milk, which is higher in fat than soy or rice milk.
1 large banana, frozen or raw
1/3 cup coconut, soy, rice or hemp milk
5 big ice cubes
*(coconut water or non-dairy milk ice cubes work best)
1 Tbsp peanut butter
dash of cinnamon

Add the 'milk', cinnamon, peanut butter, banana and 1/2 of the 'ice cream' to a blender.
Add all the ice cubes.
Blend on med-high until the ice is blended. Then on a very low speed, blend in the remaining 'ice cream'.

And our most favoritest way to eat PB? By itself...or as a super filling and healthy snack.
We LOVE eating it with apples!

And crunching on celery boats filled with PB is perfection!!!!!

OK...we lied....still to this day...the 1 thing that heals all...a hangover, a sick tummy, a growling belly, and our sweet and salty cravings???

Oh nothing....just a PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY sandwich!!!!!!

Remember this post? Yup...we are still in love.

So how ever you heart your PB....enjoy it!!!!

Yummy in my tummy... Peanut butter & Jelly!!!

How can you not love the classic childhood favorite? Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches are as important in our memories of growing up as the Care Bears and Garbage Pail Kids!

Even as grown ups we love em'! They are a super yummy indulgent treat. Nothing cures a hang-over better then a nice big glass of cold milk and a P.B & J, we know this from years of highly scientific testing.

But these days we look for a little bit more from our favorite sandwich.

These days, we want yummy whole wheat bread and organic peanut butter.
Hold the phone! I know what you are thinking, organic peanut butter is the greasy grease bomb pits! And truly it has been for a long time. I get super yucked out when I open healthy peanut butter and it has like 2 inches of oil at the top of the jar. Yuck!

But have no fear, as a young(ish) mother Miss Me has done her research, because really, choosey moms can't choose Jiff these days. (But it is soooooo good!)

We bring you Revolution Foods ORGANIC peanut butter, in crunchy or creamy!
This is amazingly good, creamy and not oily. Tastes like it is not good for you, and that is a plus in our books! You can find it at your local Whole Foods.
Guess what else?? They make Jelly!! The yummy kind with out all the big chunks of fruit. That means it is approved by even the most finicky of eaters. (My son)
Organic and sweet.

Smart Balance also makes a really great natural peanut butter. This one is also super yummy and creamy and missing the dreaded oil on top!
I have gotten this one at Ralphs, so it may easier to get in your area if you don't have a Whole Foods.

Peanut butter is also really, really, yummy these ways:

*In a sandwich with HONEY
*In a sandwich with BANANAS
*On a spoon!
*In a sandwich with MARSHMALLOW FLUFF! (*Super Not Healthy!)

But the best of the best is when peanut butter meets jelly, it is a match made in food heaven!

How cute are these little friendship necklaces for you and your B.F.F?

Pretty dang cute! You can get yours here

Miss Me ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches the whole time she was pregnant with her first baby and now that is all he will eat! It must be hereditary :)

Hmmmm, this is sounding so good, I may have to go get one right now. (No! I am not pregnant again, thank you very much, just hungry!)

Enjoy!

Yummies: So happy together (thanks MBBD the 1st for the idea!)

When life gives you lemons...make lemonade!  No, really make lemonade!

Sometimes we are given an amazing food that you can just eat and eat all by itself... but, surprise!!!  That food is even better when it makes out with another food and have a yummy food baby!  (OK..i know weird visual but kinda cute?)

For instance, anyone ever heard of a lil' amazing 3-way action called a S'more???

It's only life's most tasty Ménage à trois food marriage...well one of them.  Keep reading to see the ultimate..

Now we aren't taking about mixing up "ingredients" or throwing some stuff in a pot and "cooking".  Nope, not here...we are purely talking about 2 (or 3) foods marrying each other and creating a yummy bliss tasting food baby.  (We'll stop...now we are feeling a bit dirty).

There are the old stand bys like, PB&J (yummmm...nothing better than a great p.b.j on a summer day..puts some Ruffles chips in between and you are done and done), Peas&Carrots (even though we don't get that one), and of course Milk&Choc (cue the Quik Bunny).

But what about the 1 pairing we take most for granted but it generously gives us the most unbelievable tasting treats?  Friends, we give you Peanut Butter and Chocolate.

OMG, now we are starving... gonna go test out the Annie's Mac and Cheese (another amazing marriage baby)... to make sure it's not poisonous then wash it down with a handful of P.B. M&M's to check and make sure we are giving you the correct information.

OK, all good!  M&C is not poisoned and M&Ms are delish!
Choo Choo...back on track...

Thank you Reese's for your incredible cups of love and pieces of heaven.

Thank you for showing the world that C & PB are life's most perfect marriage.  Through that marriage of divine foods we were given so many wondrous treats...

Chocolate and PB ice cream
Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter cookies
Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge
Peanut Butter Cups
Peanut Butter M&Ms
The list goes on and on!

And a HUGE shout out to Spread in San Diego for your ridiculously cute packaging and 1 stop PB & C spread!  Easy Peasy and YUMMMM!

Here's a few more of our ol' faves...(we didn't want them to feel left out and it's our personal check list so that we be sure to test them out to to again be sure we supplied you with the correct information)

Cheese and Crackers
Peanut Butter and Apples
Cream and Coffee (Yup all good)
Ruffles chips and Onion dip (I mean..come on? perf!)
Strawberries and Chocolate
Mac n' cheese
French Fries and Ranch Dressing (Just tested... perfection)
Bananas and Ice Cream and Chocolate (dirty little devil)

P.S. Anyone else super hungry?

Let's honor ourselves, last weeks uber cute post and chocolate n' peanut butter ice cream by grabbin' a cone (or 2)
